A consortium of scientists develops proposals for the intake of vitamin A5 in the form of provitamin A5 and finds that vitamin A5 in plant form, provitamin A5, is mainly found in leafy vegetables.

Intake levels for vitamin A5 have been proposed based on the occurrence of vitamin A5 in the human food chain.
National and international nutrition organisations can now propose and officially communicate binding recommendations on this basis.
